For a while, I didn’t think my daughter was ready to attend college in TX while we are currently stationed in VA. It was a very hard sell. Today, I am so thankful that she still calls and actually tells us about the parties, the hardships and the fun she is having. It has not been easy but I feel it is so important to talk to our kids.
My son has no idea what he wants to do with his life but at least we are going through some options.
Having two totally different kids has been a challenge but communication has been the key. He may end up at a community college like I did and that’s ok. Each kid is different. Each kid has their own path. Each kid will succeed in whatever it is they choose to do.
